We are seeking a soon-to-be or recently graduated Environmental or Chemical Engineer to join our team. Your immediate work will focus on solutions for our water and wastewater projects and Clients. You will work on a variety of exciting projects that apply your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. With Jacobs, you’ll work water and wastewater projects to provide site/civil, treatment, process mechanical and hydraulic design solutions. You should be self-motivated with a long-term desire to grow personally as well as professionally within the Northeast. Each project will provide career opportunities while delivering transformative projects for our clients.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
  • An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain one 6 months after hire
  • No more than 1 years of consulting experience for municipal water and wastewater clients
  • Coursework with concentration in civil, environmental and/or construction
  • Conceptual knowledge of industrial, drinking, and wastewater unit processes and technologies
  • Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary software tools
  • Ability to build relationships, resolve conflict and participate in diverse teams

Ideally, You’ll Also Have: 

  • Master’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
  • Experience with hydraulic analyses
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS
  • Involvement in professional society organizations, community organization or other leadership roles with volunteer organizations
  • Prior internship experience in the water industry and inside the fence treatment plant work
