This is an Application Production Support Engineer position, focusing on project management and operational support within the Global Markets division. The role involves managing key projects, ensuring application stability, and providing front-office trading support. The successful candidate will collaborate with global teams, drive operational excellence, and contribute to transformational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Project Manager for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Coordinate across business lines and stakeholders, including IT, business, and compliance teams.
- Create and maintain run-book documentation and operational procedures.
- Serve as the primary contact for electronic execution teams (front-office and middle-office).
- Provide daily assistance and respond to business queries regarding order behavior and technical issues.
- Perform daily start-of-day health checks, weekend, and holiday readiness assessments.
- Utilize and improve monitoring tools, and conduct feasibility/impact studies for new solutions.
- Manage incidents, from external exchange issues to internal application bugs, including communication, coordination, and resolution.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and ensure permanent fixes.
- Liaise with software vendors, oversee production changes, and manage release governance.
- Schedule and execute binary/configuration deployments after market close or on weekends.
- Drive a stable operating environment through daily tasks, incident handling, and onboarding of new applications/services.
- Lead stability initiatives and automate repetitive tasks.
- Participate in shift work, weekend activities, and bank holiday coverage on a rotating “follow-the-sun” model.
- Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure a unified approach to issues and participate in disaster recovery drills.

- Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in SQL and Shell scripting.
- Experience managing platforms in Linux and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring and deployment tools.
- Experience in managing business and technology stakeholders is a plus.
- University degree in IT or related field.
- Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
- 3–8 years of experience in a financial institution (front-office user support experience is desirable).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in driving major projects and project coordination in a financial institution.
