Equity Market Strategist/ Tech Hardware Lead Analyst (Sellside Research) | Hong Kong, HK

A leading investment bank is hiring Equity Market Strategist and Tech Hardware Lead Analyst for research department in Hong Kong.

Equity Market Strategist

• Responsible for developing investment themes in the Hong Kong/ China and major overseas equity market, especially US and SE Asia.

• Proactively coordinate with in-house research teams for joint products and provide advice on clients' portfolios.

• Work closely with the domestic A-share research team to promote and cross sell investment themes in A-shares and related industries.

• Responsible for equity analysis, writing research reports, and arranging client events.

• Provide research services to Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets Institutional, and High Net Worth clients.

• Perform other duties as directed by superiors from time to time.

Requirements:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree holder with a minimum of 5 years of working experience covering Greater China market strategy, or experienced buy- or sell-side investment professionals with a strong understanding of macro and market dynamics.

• Graduates from global leading universities with macroeconomics related education background preferred.

• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.

Hardware Research Analyst

• Responsible for primary coverage of HK and overseas (e.g. US, Taiwan) listed hardware and AI-related stocks, including those in semiconductor, equipment and their supply chain-related industries.

• Working closely with domestic A-share research team to promote and cross sell A-shares and related industries.

• Responsible for equity analysis, writing research, and arranging client events incl. NDR and tours.

• Providing research services to Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets Institutional and High Net Worth clients. Provide advice on clients’ portfolios.

• Such other duties as shall from time to time be directed by the superiors.

Requirement

• Master or Bachelor Degree holder with a minimum of 5 years working experience covering hardware related sectors and stocks.

• Graduates from global leading universities with technology related education background

• Holder of CFA and SFC license type 4 regulated activity highly preferred.

• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
