King Deux is partnering with a high-caliber Multi-Family Office founded by successful tech entrepreneurs. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Research Analyst to join the Investment Team. The successful candidate will focus on global listed equities within the Consumer and TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) / Software sectors, conducting in-depth research and financial modeling to drive institutional-grade portfolio decisions.
About your role
- Strategic Research Support: Collaborate directly with the CIO on high-level thematic research and asset class analysis to inform global asset allocation strategies.
- Sector Coverage: Conduct fundamental equity research across global secondary markets, with a dedicated focus on Consumer brands and TMT/Software platforms.
- Financial Engineering: Build and maintain detailed financial models (including SaaS metrics and consumer unit economics), perform rigorous valuation analyses, and monitor KPIs.
- Idea Generation: Identify emerging investment opportunities and contribute actionable insights for portfolio construction and tactical asset allocation.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of macroeconomic shifts, digital transformation trends, and consumer behavior; assess their implications for top-down sector positioning.
- Synthesis & Reporting: Prepare high-quality research reports, presentations, and written recommendations for internal investment committees.
- Expert Engagement: Interface with corporate management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts to refine and challenge investment theses.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Support the ongoing oversight of portfolio holdings, including performance attribution and risk management processes.
What you will need to succeed
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; CFA charter or candidacy is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in equity research, asset management, or a family office, with specific exposure to Global Consumer or TMT/Software sectors.
- Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; high proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg is required.
- Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of global equity markets, secondary market dynamics, and tech-sector valuation multiples.
- Communication: Proven ability to communicate complex thematic research and investment findings clearly in both written and verbal forms.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative investment team.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is a significant advantage.
