About the Client:

Our client is a highly respected global financial services group and capital markets firm with a strong footprint across major Asian exchanges. They are heavily invested in top-tier electronic trading technologies and provide a dynamic, fast-paced trading floor environment. We are exclusively partnering with them to find an elite technologist to join their front office IT team.

The Role, Responsibilities, and Landscape:

• You will be responsible for supporting all front office Equity IT systems.
• You will perform daily system health checking, monitoring, and testing to ensure the high availability of trading systems, including OMS, EMS, algorithmic engines, and Middle Office systems.
• You will handle regional day-to-day support activities for business users in the HK office and across regional offices.
• You will manage the analysis, development, testing, and implementation of new client connections for various systems.
• You will conduct feasibility studies and impact analysis on potential system solutions, proposing clear choices for the business.
• You will coordinate with the Exchange on different projects and attend market rehearsals to meet compliance requirements.
• You will participate in weekend work and out-of-office hour support as required.

What We Are Looking For:

• A University Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of working experience within an Investment Banking, Financial, or Brokerage Trading firm.
• Technical knowledge supporting systems such as Fidessa, Flextrade, Ullink (Broadridge), and market data.
• In-depth knowledge of the FIX messaging protocol and the ability to conduct client testing.
• Good knowledge and skills in Windows, UNIX, Linux, Sybase, and MSSQL databases.
• Experience in supporting traders is a strict prerequisite for this role.
• A self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
