ETL QA Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an ETL QA Engineer for a Contract with a client in Woodland Hills, CA/Los Angeles, CA. The candidate must have strong expertise in ETL testing and advanced SQL to ensure accurate validation of data mapping, transformations, and end‑to‑end data flows.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

ETL QA Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Validate source‑to‑target data mappings, ETL transformations, and end‑to‑end data flows across staging and target systems.
• Perform detailed data reconciliation, applying advanced SQL to verify aggregations, calculations, and business rules.
• Design comprehensive ETL test scenarios, including full, incremental, delta, and historical load validations.
• Execute smoke, SIT, regression, and UAT support testing while documenting defects with clear root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with ETL developers and data engineers to resolve data issues and ensure correctness after fixes.
• Produce data quality reports, test results, and validation checklists to maintain transparency and traceability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in ETL testing, data validation, and data‑centric QA projects.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in ETL testing, advanced SQL, and validating complex data transformations across staging and target systems.
• Proven ability to execute data reconciliation, defect analysis, and collaborate effectively with ETL developers and data engineering teams.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
