**A Day in the Life**
As an Experienced Full Stack Applied Scientist at arenaflex, you'll be part of a highly collaborative environment where you'll have the opportunity to ideate, experiment, iterate, optimize, and scale quickly. You'll work closely with engineering teams to design and implement software solutions for science problems, and you'll have the freedom to create experiments and prototype implementations of new learning algorithms and prediction techniques.
**Key Job Responsibilities**
- Drive collaborative research and creative problem-solving to develop cutting-edge AI solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLM), Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.
- Apply scientific concepts to real-world business problems to provide earth's best customer service.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement software solutions for science problems.
- Constructively critique peer research and mentor junior scientists and engineers.
- Develop and deploy production-ready science solutions in a highly collaborative environment.
**Essential Qualifications**
- 3+ years of building models for business application experience.
- PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML, or related field experience.
- Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
- Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience using Unix/Linux.
- Experience in professional software development.
**Skills and Competencies**
- Strong understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and large language models.
- Experience with research and implementation of multi-turn task-oriented dialogue systems.
- Experience with natural language understanding, spoken language understanding, information retrieval, question answering, and semantic representation.
- Experience with zero-shot or few-shot learning, crowdsourced NLU annotation best practices, and reinforcement learning (preferably in an NLP application).
- Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
- Experience with computational linguistics and large-scale text classification.
