Fabrica AI Construction Robotics Site Technician

Fabrica AI invented an automatic tile grouting robot that boosts productivity by up to 5x and has sold multiple robots in Singapore, to companies including Woh Hup and BHCC. Tile grouting is the process of filling up the gaps between tiles after the tiles have been laid. We invented a patented robot that is able to automatically grout and clean tile gaps and is easy to operate.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Deploy and monitor robots on different construction sites, which includes liaising with site supervisors.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Train construction workers and clients on how to operate, troubleshoot and integrate our robots into their daily workflows.
• Run demonstrations of the robot to potential clients.
• Report errors and provide suggestions to improve our site operations
• Maintain and fix robots on site, and transport them back to our office for fixes/upgrades and transport them to other locations.
• Upgrading robots to our latest designs.

A great candidate would possess the following:

• Class 3/3A driving license
• Diploma, or equivalent qualifications, in Engineering.
• At least one year of technical experience or side projects in robotics.
• Comfortable working in active construction sites.
• Familiarity with autonomous mobile robots.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Willing to adapt to changes week on week and various work schedules.
• Willing to travel to various construction sites around Singapore.
• Proficiency in English.

Our development process is very iterative and agile. Thus, there would not be a concrete plan more than 2 weeks ahead and your role/tasks is/are likely to evolve over time. Besides, a lot of testing has to be done on a construction site. If you like this process, you’d be a good fit for us.
