Test Research USA, Inc. (TRI) is growing rapidly! We are the leading provider of test and inspection solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry and are looking for two (2) Field Application Engineers (FAE) to support our world-class optical solutions (AOI/SPI/AXI) in the United States.
Key Details
- Location: Dallas or Houston, TX area preferred (or willing to relocate).
- Travel: Up to 75% (includes domestic and potentially international travel).
- Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Mandarin/Chinese speaking skills are preferred.
Your Responsibilities
System Installation & Training:
- Install newly purchased systems at customer sites, provide comprehensive training to end-users, and ensure world-class customer support.
Technical Sales Support:
- Deliver expert pre-sales and post-sales support, including technical presentations, projects, and equipment evaluations.
Equipment Evaluation:
- Support the evaluation of new equipment and programming tools directly at customer locations.
Customer Relations:
- Serve as a key technical contact in a customer-facing role, ensuring satisfaction through expert troubleshooting and onsite support.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in programming or supporting AOI, SPI, AXI, and/or other vision inspection systems and applications.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Electronics or Computer Science preferred). Significant applicable work experience will also be considered.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency in AOI, SPI, and AXI system software packages.
- Advanced PC skills, Microsoft Office applications, and database knowledge.
- Experience with Windows operating systems and knowledge of computer hardware/maintenance.
Soft Skills:
- Advanced communication, reading, and writing skills.
- Must be comfortable and professional in high-pressure, customer-facing environments.
