Are you a Controls Engineer with excellent communication skills and experience in system integration, looking for a field role where you can troubleshoot problems directly with customers?

This is an incredible opportunity for someone who wants to act as an individual contributor for a smaller, privately held company where you can see the effects of your work firsthand.

This company provides advanced SaaS and control system solutions that help water and wastewater utilities optimize pump operations, reduce energy consumption, and extend the life of critical assets. By combining real-time data, automation, and cloud-based analytics, it enables utilities across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East to run infrastructure more efficiently and scale as they expand.

In this role, you’ll work directly with customers to support new and existing edge analytics deployments, configure industrial networks, and integrate field devices. You’ll troubleshoot system and communication issues, support commissioning efforts, and provide ongoing customer support.

The Role:

  • Support customers on edge analytics deployments, including debugging PLC code.
  • Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks and protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC).
  • Integrate field devices, drives, HMIs, and SCADA with the Tagger environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve system and communication issues.
  • Assist with commissioning, startup, and system optimization.
  • Maintain project documentation (schematics, I/O lists, configurations).
  • Provide customer support and occasional on-site training.

The Person:

  • PLC programming and system integration experience
  • Familiarity with Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and industrial networks
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
