ABOUT THE COMPANY
Valerie Health is the AI front office for independent provider groups. We are reimagining how independent practices operate by using AI to modernize patient/provider communication, enhance care, and drive industry-changing operational efficiencies.
- Team: We are led by Pete Shalek https://www.linkedin.com/in/petershalek/ (2x health tech exits, including a $600M acquisition by Optum) and Nitin Joshi https://www.linkedin.com/in/njoshi023/ (scaled Uber Eats + Health, Stripe Connect, and Bridge, acquired by Stripe for $1.1B). Beyond our founders, our team brings DNA from category leaders (Uber, Stripe, Meta), high-growth unicorns, and top consulting firms.
- Trajectory: We partner with leading independent provider groups across the U.S., automating hundreds of thousands of tasks each month. Revenue is on track for 7x growth this year, alongside 300% net revenue retention.
- Funding: We have raised $39M (Series A) from world-class investors including Redpoint Ventures, General Catalyst, Primary Ventures, and BoxGroup.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Valerie is in a hypergrowth phase, and we are building the marketing function from the ground up. This is one of the first hires into a marketing team that will scale significantly as the company grows, and is a chance to get in early and learn the breadth of marketing at a fast-moving AI company.
Your core responsibility is owning Valerie's events program end-to-end: conferences, executive dinners, prospect roundtables, and webinars. Conferences are our best source of new business, and we need someone to run them. You will manage multiple events in parallel, keep every detail on track, and make sure Valerie shows up sharp every time.
Our customers love what we do: you'll be bringing something people want to hear about, not selling something they don't. As you learn the business, there is real opportunity to take on broader marketing responsibilities and grow your skillset at a company that is scaling fast.
Note: Title and compensation will be calibrated based on your experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conference Execution. Own end-to-end logistics: coordinating with organizers, booking booths, shipping materials, handling registrations, and keeping parallel workstreams from falling through the cracks.
- Represent Valerie on the Floor. Engage directly with practice administrators, operations leaders, and healthcare executives to qualify leads and book meetings.
- Pre-Event Outreach. Design and run campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and creative channels to book meetings and build awareness before we arrive.
- Hosted Events. Plan and execute executive dinners at conferences, prospect roundtables, and webinars as additional channels for relationship-building and lead generation.
- Collateral & Booth. Build and organize booth graphics, one-pagers, SWAG, and sales materials. Every event should put our best foot forward.
- Conference Strategy. Pull attendee lists, assess whether the right buyers will be in the room, and make data-driven recommendations on where to invest and at what level.
- Post-Event Follow-Up. Ensure leads are captured, entered into HubSpot, and handed off to sales with context.
ABOUT YOU
You are organized, methodical, and energized by managing complex logistics, the kind of person who builds systems to keep things on track, not just checklists.
You are also the kind of person who throws dinner parties. People enjoy being around you. You are warm, perceptive, and genuinely interested in the people you meet. At Valerie, you will be in rooms with senior healthcare executives, and your ability to build trust and rapport is a key part of the job.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 1–3+ years of professional experience. Events, marketing, operations, sales, or a generalist role.
- Exceptional organizational skills. You can manage multiple events, timelines, and vendors in parallel without anything slipping.
- Strong written and verbal communication. You can write a clean outreach email and hold a conversation with a senior executive.
- Personable and confident. You are comfortable representing the company in person and building rapport quickly.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% during peak event seasons.
- You are resourceful, proactive, and motivated by doing the work, not just planning it.
Bonus if you have events or field marketing experience, healthcare or enterprise software context, or know your way around HubSpot and LinkedIn.
