Field Operations Specialist - Autonomous Robots

Turf Tank
Washington, US
On-site

Job Description

We’re a technology-driven company focused on building and supporting autonomous equipment used by customers around the world. Our solutions help teams work more efficiently, improve consistency, and get more out of their time in the field.

We continue to expand how we support our customers by improving our technology and its performance in real-world environments. As part of that, we’re investing in field operations, customer experience, and the way our teams collaborate across functions.

We’re looking for people who take ownership, work well with others, and are comfortable stepping into new challenges as we grow.

Overview

We’re looking for a Field Operations Specialist based in Florida (ideally near Orlando) to support deployment, customer onboarding, and field performance of autonomous equipment.

This is a hands-on, field-first role. You’ll be on-site with customers, solving real problems, training users, and making sure the equipment performs where it actually matters — in the field.

While this role is based in Florida, travel will be frequent and can extend beyond the region as needed.

There’s a high level of independence in this role. Not everything will be perfectly defined, and that’s intentional. You’ll play a key part in how field operations are executed and improved over time.

What You'll Do

  • lead on-site equipment setup, configuration, and customer training
  • troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in real time
  • support demos, pilots, and customer-facing engagements
  • identify issues, patterns, and opportunities based on field experience
  • partner with internal teams to improve performance and execution
  • help refine how work gets done in the field

You Must Be Able To

  • work independently without needing constant direction
  • troubleshoot problems across mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users
  • adapt when priorities shift, or things don’t go as planned
  • represent the company confidently in front of customers
  • collaborate with teams across different functions and time zones

You Must Have…

  • experience in field service, installation, or technical support
  • strong customer-facing communication skills
  • technical aptitude (robotics, small engines, mechatronics, or similar)
  • experience working with software-controlled or automated equipment
  • a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Requirements

  • must be located in Florida (ideally near Orlando) or be willing to relocate
  • overnight travel up to 80%
  • day travel up to 90%
  • valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • ability to pass motor vehicle and background checks

Physical Requirements

  • lift up to 50 lbs
  • stand, stoop, squat, and work at varying heights
  • sit or stand for extended periods
