About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established, globally recognized manufacturer of inspection and analytical instruments used throughout the food and agriculture industries. This field-based role supports X-ray inspection systems across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan, with a strong focus on Chicago, Milwaukee, and Detroit. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and being in the field. The company is stable, growing, and known for retaining employees long term.

What You’ll Do

You’ll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair X-ray inspection systems used in food production environments.

The role also includes equipment upgrades and training customers on system operation and software.

This is a Friday through Tuesday schedule and requires weekend work and overnight travel.

Who You Are

You’re hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working directly with customers. You enjoy solving technical problems, managing your territory, and supporting equipment that is critical to daily operations. This role fits someone who works well independently, communicates clearly, and is open to a nontraditional service schedule.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

Bachelor’s degree or military background.

Experience servicing electro-mechanical equipment or automation systems.

X-ray inspection experience preferred.

Food industry background preferred, ideally meat processing.

Must be willing to travel and work weekends.

Must be able to pass a background check and brief electronics test.

Reporting Structure

Reports to the Process Manager. Part of a 10-person team. Supports customer accounts across IL, WI, and MI.
