The Field Service Engineer I will be responsible for developing service project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, conferring with management. Determines service project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to Field Service Leader, support Field Service Engineer and managed assigned project/contract sites for day to day customer and operational requirements. (e.g. coordination of team tasks, team metrics management, KPI management).
  • Designs, plans, and handles testing, commissioning, software programming and supervision on site for BMS on project plan, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Design and configuration of HVAC, CCTV, Access Control, Security, and Third Party Systems. Prepares submittals containing schematics, descriptions and technical literature as required. Maintains current design documents throughout project duration.
  • To grow service business through project execution and management of project stakeholder. This includes pre-sales support to the account team and technical lead on projects.
  • Perform testing & commissioning of BMS/FAS/Security Systems
  • BMS FAS/Security technical submittals preparation, method of statement, compliance statement and OMM
  • Experience in IO point schedules, assignments and materials selection with value engineering

Customers

  • Contract Retention and increase share of wallet through green and brown field project
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through direct liaison with client representatives, customers and service recipients, Customer surveys and NPS targets.
  • Effectively meet customer needs, build productive customer relationships and take responsibility for customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring delivery of value to Honeywell clients and customers.

Attend and contribute to Account Planning sessions.

Health, Safety and Environment

  • Ensure Playbook activities are completed each month.
  • Be a part of site EHS inspections, hazard/ risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
  • HSE assessments are carried out and updated annually for all contracts and projects.
  • HSE Safety Plans are available at sites as required.
  • Be aware of all kinds of risks and their controls in your work environment
  • Attend and participate in all HSE team meetings.
  • Report safety observations (SOS)

Carry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks as per company policy and procedures.

Financials

  • Management of project Cash-flows and claims certification/billings/collection for financial control according to agreed budgets and plans.
  • Forecast project financials monthly and analyse throughout the month.
  • Estimates materials costs and quantities and ordering parts.
  • Assist Field Service Manager with outstanding debt recovery and under-billed projects.
  • Utilise and promote PV and CPQ usage.

Quality

  • Ensure project executions meets tender and site-specific requirements. Documentation and quality assurance information as instructed by the Service Manager.
  • Ensure technical write-ups, documentation is current and participate in internal and external audits as required.

Ensuring team compliance to KPIs

Must Have:

  • Engineering Bachelor Degree (Electrical / Mechanical)
  • At least 2 years' of work related project management experience in BMS/FAS/Security field
  • With project and logical knowledge in ACMV/HVAC/FAS/Security system control logic
  • Project and A&A management of BMS/FAS/Security systems
  • Timely completion of project schedules and management of account sites.
  • Adherence to Honeywell Policy & Procedures.
  • Customer Survey KPI of executed projects
  • Core Customer Retention and growth through A&A and retrofit projects

Timely and effective project financial forecasting.
