Our client, a global leader in industrial automation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their prestigious team in **San Diego, California**. This critical role involves providing expert technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced automation systems and equipment at client sites. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of complex machinery, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering, coupled with hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving intricate system failures. You will be the face of our client to their customers, building trust and ensuring client satisfaction through technical proficiency and a proactive approach. Responsibilities include:

Installing, commissioning, and calibrating industrial automation equipment and systems at customer locations. Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive services to ensure system uptime and reliability. Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site. Providing timely and effective repair services to minimize downtime for clients. Interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to guide troubleshooting and repair efforts. Providing technical training and support to customer personnel. Generating detailed service reports documenting all work performed, including findings, resolutions, and recommendations. Collaborating with engineering and support teams to resolve escalated technical issues. Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring proper usage and accountability. Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies while on client sites. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in field service engineering, preferably supporting industrial automation, robotics, or complex machinery. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to electromechanical systems. Proficiency with PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and industrial communication protocols is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) within the assigned territory, primarily in and around **San Diego, California**, and potentially other regions. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a demanding field environment. Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. This role requires physical dexterity and the ability to work in various industrial environments.
