A premier provider of industrial automation solutions is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dedicated installation and maintenance team. This critical role involves providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for complex robotic systems and automated manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software issues, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime for our clients. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in industrial robotics, PLC programming, and automation control systems. Extensive travel throughout the region will be required to support clients in various manufacturing facilities. This position demands excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to maintenance, and the ability to work independently under pressure. You will be expected to perform routine preventive maintenance, conduct system upgrades, and provide technical training to client personnel. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience is required. Experience with specific robotic platforms (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and familiarity with industrial networking protocols are highly advantageous. You will be based out of the Los Angeles, California, US area, with frequent travel to client sites. Responsibilities include: responding to service calls, performing equipment diagnostics, executing repairs and adjustments, documenting service activities, and maintaining spare parts inventory.
