Finance Executive / Financial Reporting Analyst / Cost Analyst

Role Description The Finance Executive / Financial Reporting Analyst / Cost Analyst is responsible for supporting financial operations through accurate reporting, cost analysis, and financial planning support. The role focuses on ensuring financial data integrity, providing insights into business performance, and supporting effective cost management decisions.

Key responsibilities include preparing financial reports, management accounts, and variance analysis to support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. The role involves analyzing revenue, expenses, and cost structures to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.

The analyst also supports budgeting and forecasting activities by collecting financial data, tracking performance against budgets, and explaining variances. In addition, the role may involve maintaining financial systems, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

The Finance Executive / Financial Reporting Analyst / Cost Analyst works closely with finance, operations, and business teams to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• 1–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, or cost analysis roles

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions preferred)

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) is an advantage

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling

• Ability to interpret financial data and present insights clearly

• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills

• Ability to work under tight deadlines during reporting periods

• Knowledge of cost control, financial planning, and business performance analysis
