Finance Manager- Fast Growing Hedge Fund | Singapore
Our client, a fast-growing hedge fund in Singapore is seeking an experience Finance Manager to be their key finance leader for their Singapore entity while providing oversight and support to their regional offices. You will own the full spectrum of corporate accounting and fund accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timeliness, and scalability as the fund grows.
This is a hands-on yet strategic role that reports directly to the CEO and offers high visibility, broad exposure, and real impact on the business. You will work closely with C- Suite executives as well as portfolio managers, operations, compliance, and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and finalise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Singapore corporate entity in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) / IFRS.
- Manage all statutory filings, corporate tax returns, GST compliance, and annual audits; coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Handle the daily operations of Finance & Accounting Department including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable for Singapore and other offices
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, expense management, treasury, and cash-flow forecasting for the Singapore office.
- Own the end-to-end fund accounting cycle: daily/weekly/monthly NAV calculation, portfolio valuation, income/expense allocation, and fee calculations (management fees, performance fees, hurdle rates).
- Perform daily reconciliations of cash, positions, and P&L with prime brokers, custodians, and administrators.
- Prepare investor reports, performance attribution, risk reports, and quarterly/annual financial statements for the funds.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all finance-related matters with regulators, investors, and service providers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA Australia/Singapore, CA Singapore, or equivalent).\
- Experience: 6–9 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with a strong background in hedge funds, asset management, or alternatives (relevant in house experience is a MUST)
- Solid knowledge of Singapore corporate/fund regulations (MAS, IRAS, SFRS(I), GST), multi-jurisdictional reporting, and hedge fund-specific accounting (e.g., performance fees, side pockets, carried interest).
- Excellent command of English; Mandarin or other Asian languages advantageous for regional coordination.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
