Description

The Note Finance Risk Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and control of borrower data, financial calculations, and audit processes across the Note Finance portfolio. This role performs detailed reviews, identifies risks, conducts analysis, and supports the end-to-end execution of the Note Finance audit and sampling programs. The analyst delivers high-quality insights, supports system improvements, and strengthens the governance of Note Finance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Data Integrity and Quality Control
  • Monitor, validate, and analyze the quality and integrity of Data Tapes submitted by Note Finance Borrowers.
  • Identify data discrepancies, anomalies, and integrity issues; initiate corrective actions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain documentation of findings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance data accuracy.
  • Lead and Direct the Internal Note Finance Audit Program
  • Develop, manage, and execute the full audit lifecycle for all Note Finance audit processes, ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory standards, and operational requirements.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and subject‑matter expertise across the following audit components:
  • Collateral Audit – Validate collateral reporting, confirm data accuracy, and ensure compliance with established collateral requirements.
  • Borrowing Base Audit – Review borrowing base calculations, methodology, and documentation to confirm alignment with credit policies.
  • Procedural Audit – Evaluate operational processes and workflows to ensure consistency, efficiency, and internal policy adherence.
  • Policy, Procedure, and Job Aid Audit – Assess the accuracy, relevance, and completeness of operational policies, procedures, and job aids; recommend updates to strengthen governance.
  • User Access Audit – Oversee user access reviews to ensure appropriate system permissions, segregation of duties, and compliance with security protocols for Note Finance Borrowers.
  • Manage Quarterly Financial Calculations and Tracking
  • Direct the quarterly calculation, analysis, and reporting of Note Finance outstandings, unused fee accruals, and compensating balance requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial metrics, maintain detailed audit trails, and provide clear variance analysis where applicable.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Operations partners to support quarter-end close activities and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee Appraisal and Lien Sampling Programs
  • Manage the end-to-end sampling, review, and validation process for appraisals and lien documentation.
  • Track and analyze trends, identify operational or risk-related issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Prepare and deliver management reporting summarizing findings, emerging risks, and recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Develop Executive-Level Reporting and Insights
  • Build, refine, and maintain comprehensive executive-level dashboards and reporting covering all audit activities, quarterly tracking metrics, and operational performance indicators.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead Systems Implementation Initiatives
  • Support and potentially lead system implementation projects that align with the strategic needs of the Note Finance portfolio.
  • Leverage subject-matter expertise to translate business requirements into effective and scalable system solutions.
  • Drive strong adoption across user groups, ensuring operational efficiencies and alignment with future-state process design.
  • Basic Qualifications
  • Experience supporting audit programs, including documentation, sampling, and internal control testing.
  • Experience performing financial calculations, variance analysis, and quarter-end operational reporting.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Finance, Accounting, Operations, Risk, Technology) to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Experience developing dashboards or reporting tools that summarize performance, audit findings, and risk indicators for leadership.
  • Experience with lending, collateral reporting, or credit operations within a financial services environment.
  • Experience with documentation and governance experience, including maintaining audit trails, updating procedures, and supporting compliance efforts.
