Our client, an FMCG business, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within the financial reporting function, supporting accurate month-end processes, driving improvements, and partnering closely with operational teams.
Please note this role will be 5 days per week in their Southall office.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a timely and accurate month-end close
- Prepare and post journals including accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments
- Take ownership of cost centres, including reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and highlight trends
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, audit processes, and external reporting
Key Requirements
- Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or a strong academic background (minimum 2:1 in a relevant subject)
- Previous experience in a finance or analytical role, experience with month-end close is advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills, including handling large datasets and modelling
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365) and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) is advantageous
