Job Description

Our client, a national industry leader, is seeking a Compensation Finance Manager to join their growing corporate finance team. This is a pivotal role focused on the strategic administration and analytical oversight of variable incentive programs across multiple business units.

Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, you will serve as a key architect in refining how the firm calculates, tracks, and optimizes performance-based pay.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan Administration: Manage the end-to-end execution of complex variable compensation models, ensuring precision and timeliness in all incentive distributions.
  • Data Architecture: Analyze and reconcile large-scale datasets, including recurring billing files, asset transfer tracking, and specialized revenue reporting.
  • Process Evolution: Lead initiatives to automate manual workflows, enhance data collection integrity, and implement scalable efficiencies within the finance function.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a primary liaison between Finance, HR, and Legal teams to align compensation structures with broader organizational goals.
  • Modeling & Forecasting: Develop sophisticated financial models to project the impact of potential plan changes and evaluate the ROI of current incentive structures.
  • Strategic Insights: Monitor performance metrics against business objectives, delivering actionable recommendations to executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related analytical field.
  • 5+ years' corporate finance, data analytics, or compensation analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Query; you must be comfortable reconciling disparate data sources.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence platforms (such as Power BI, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot) to extract and interpret data.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex financial findings into clear, executive-level summaries and recommendations.

Preferred Quaflifications

  • Prior experience in the financial services or investment management industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM data flows (specifically Salesforce) and how they integrate into financial reporting.
  • A track record of collaborating with Data Engineering teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
