Financial Analyst

Location: Phoenix, AZ (On-site/Hybrid as required)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Perm (6-month contract with conversion potential)

Compensation: $83,200 - $93,600 Per Year

A large healthcare organization in Phoenix is seeking a Financial Analyst to support core financial operations, reporting, and strategic analysis. This role partners closely with operational and clinical leadership and plays a key role in financial planning, reporting accuracy, and business decision support.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including ratio analysis and KPI evaluation
  • Analyze general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Perform detailed account analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Analyze trends in costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to support financial modeling and decision-making
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities
  • Collaborate with leaders, executives, physicians, and business partners across the organization
  • Communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • At least three years of experience in:
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis
  • General ledger analysis and account reconciliations
  • Financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Cost, revenue, and trend analysis to support modeling and planning

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare experience on the payer or provider side

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
