Financial Analyst Responsibilities
Turn Data into Insight
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis for leadership
- Build out variance analysis and clearly explain the “why” behind the numbers
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and leadership
Own the Dashboards
- Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI and/or Tableau that people actually use
- Create clean, intuitive visualizations that drive decision-making—not just reports that sit in a folder
- Deliver KPIs and performance metrics in a way that’s easy to understand and act on
Make Things Better
- Identify inefficiencies in current reporting and automate wherever possible
- Help enhance BI tools and reporting capabilities
- Partner with IT or data teams to improve data accuracy and accessibility
Financial Analyst Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or data-heavy finance roles
- Strong experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Advanced Excel skills (you know your way around Power Query and large data sets)
- Experience working across multiple systems (ERP experience is a plus)
- Someone who is naturally curious and enjoys digging into the “why” behind the numbers
