Financial Analyst (Commercial Finance) - FMCG / Consumer Sector
A dynamic organisation within the consumer space is seeking a commercially driven finance professional to support business performance through financial insights, planning, and cross-functional partnering. This role combines financial analysis, strategic support, and operational finance responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting with a focus on operating expenses, accruals, and capital investments
- Deliver insightful management reporting, including variance analysis, key performance drivers, and actionable recommendations to support business performance
- Partner closely with commercial, sales, and operations teams to align financial plans with business strategies and identify opportunities for margin improvement
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including regular performance reviews and scenario analysis to support decision-making
- Develop financial models and business cases for strategic initiatives, including investment evaluation and cost optimisation projects
- Support governance, audit, and compliance processes while driving continuous improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualifications (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA) are advantageous
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial finance or business partnering roles, preferably within FMCG or consumer-driven industries
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in financial modelling, performance analysis, and decision support
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g. SAP, Hyperion, Power BI or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders across functions in a dynamic business environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
