Job Description
The Financial Analyst will provide day-to-day financial support to the UML Marketing teams, collaborating closely with Central Accounting for monthly financial close. This role tracks and analyzes budget and forecast variances, assists with quarterly forecasts and the annual budget alongside the VP of Label Operations, maintains the company forecasting system in SAP/Uniport, and delivers ad hoc analyses for artist projects as needed.
Marketing Project Administration
Partner with VP of Label Operations to establish, streamline, and manage budgets for artists and projects. Coordinate with VP Finance’s team on monthly budget reservations, fund transfers, vendor setups, requisitions, PO approvals, invoice troubleshooting, and vendor relations. Manage marketing projects by artist, vendor, and expense type, controlling project budgets and resource allocation in SAP. Monitor and reassign resources across projects monthly/quarterly in collaboration with SVP Marketing and Managing Director.
Budget Analysis & Management
Develop and manage marketing budgets for senior management, providing detailed analysis by expense type, vendor, project, or artist. Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets with VP Label Operations.
Vendor Payment Process
Work with Finance and Legal departments on compliance approvals. Coordinate vendor documentation, SAP/Uniport setup, invoice processing, and payment programming.
Administrative Support
Organize meetings, music sessions, and keep accurate marketing meeting minutes. Lead ad hoc projects, including creating timelines, quote sheets, facilitating artist travel, and preparing project-related documents. Streamline and improve marketing and accounting internal processes.
Project Management
Provide consistent updates to stakeholders on project strategy, adjustments, and progress. Monitor project performance, measure outcomes, and identify areas for improvement.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong project management and computer skills (Excel, Uniport/SAP, Monday, PowerPoint). Experience in accounting, finance, and administration. Excellent organizational and process-oriented skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external partners. Flexibility, adaptability, and effective time management. Experience in entertainment business is a plus.
Required Experience
3–5 years’ experience in a professional environment. Skill Requirements
Seeking candidates with e in Digital Content Management (Product Catalog, Product Feeds, CMS: Content Management Systems, DAM: Digital Asset Management, Photo Studio (Or similar technologies). Proficient in using tools like JIRA and Smartsheet. Strong background in Technical Program Management with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder expectation. Proficient in using tools like JIRA and Smartsheet to streamline planning and execution Strong advocate for agile principles with experience promoting and advancing agile methodologies Skilled in managing and resolving impediments, with effective status reporting at multiple levels Ability to facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication to mitigate dependencies and promote continuous integration and delivery Experience ensuring alignment and synchronization of multiple agile teams towards common program goals
