Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Financial Operations Analyst for a well-established and rapidly expanding organization in the energy sector. This opportunity supports a large, sophisticated portfolio of assets and lets you work alongside experienced professionals in finance, operations, and asset management. The position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting reporting initiatives, and optimizing asset performance across a diverse portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding of new projects into asset management systems, ensuring a smooth transition into operations.
  • Support the implementation and standardization of asset management processes across the portfolio.
  • Prepare and distribute financial and operational performance reports to stakeholders, including internal teams, lenders, and investors.
  • Develop financial analyses and presentations to support management decision-making.
  • Oversee invoicing processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Monitor accounts receivable at the project level and support collections efforts.
  • Manage performance guarantee reviews, including reporting and payout validation.
  • Perform and oversee bank account reconciliations.
  • Partner with accounting teams to ensure general ledger accuracy and timely financial reporting.
  • Support compliance with financing agreements, contracts, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across operations, finance, accounting, and asset management.
  • Contribute to the management of both distributed generation and utility-scale assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or asset management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis and data modeling.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and supporting performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and reconciliation practices.
  • Familiarity with general ledger systems and financial reporting standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in renewable energy, asset management, or project finance preferred.
  • Familiarity with solar energy markets, technologies, or regulatory frameworks preferred.
  • Experience with financial modeling tools and techniques preferred.
