Financial Systems Product Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for core client systems and internal platform infrastructure, including client lifecycle, access, and service workflows.
• Lead end-to-end design of complex platform systems, translating operational and business requirements into clear, structured product specifications.
• Work closely with engineering teams on distributed system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance optimisation.
• Design and manage configurable platform capabilities, including system rules, service parameters, approvals, and access controls.
• Define monitoring, alerting, and exception-handling mechanisms to ensure platform stability and operational resilience.
• Lead API and integration design, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-documented interfaces for internal systems and external partners.
• Partner with operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders to ensure platform design meets governance, audit, and oversight requirements.
• Drive continuous platform improvement using system performance metrics and user behaviour insights.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of product management experience in platform, enterprise systems, or large-scale financial systems or infrastructure environments.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong technical foundation with good coding knowledge and a clear understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proven experience designing and launching complex client-facing or internal platform systems from 0 to 1.
• Strong experience working with distributed systems, including high-availability and performance-sensitive environments.
• Demonstrated ability to define system workflows, controls, and automation for large-scale platforms.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on system architecture and optimisation.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across engineering, operations, risk, and compliance teams.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience operating platforms with high usage volumes and strict reliability expectations.
