ROLE OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our growing team. This role focuses on the detailed execution of cabinetry, trim, doors, and finishes—both in our factory and on-site installations. You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality, precision-built modular housing components.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform finish carpentry tasks in a controlled factory setting and on residential job sites.
- Install cabinetry, doors, windows, baseboards, casings, crown molding, and other trim elements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure finish work is accurate, consistent, and ready for final paint.
- Interpret shop and construction drawings to guide accurate installations.
- Rout hinge locations, apply edge banding, and assemble complex trim assemblies using biscuits or domino joinery.
- Conduct quality checks to uphold company craftsmanship standards.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow all safety procedures.
- Participate in occasional on-site installation work post-delivery of modular units.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of finish carpentry experience.
- Skilled in cabinetry and detailed trim work, including crown, base, and casing.
- Experience with domino or biscuit joinery preferred.
- Comfortable routing hinges and applying edge banding when needed.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in overhead positions for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Team-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Primary work location: Reframe’s factory in Andover, MA.
- Occasional work at local installation sites (e.g., Somerville, Devens).
- Physical demands include standing, lifting, bending, and handling materials/tools.
- Some overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.
