Job Overview
The Linear Generator is a sophisticated, automated, and integrated system spanning a wide range of engineering disciplines including thermodynamics, mechanical, electrical, software, and controls. As a member of our Fleet Operations & Analytics Team, you will be part of a dynamic group that delivers the best product and experience that Mainspring Energy has to offer. This includes operation and monitoring of our fleet of Linear Generators (LGens), debugging issues, management of incident resolution and advanced data analysis aimed at improving our product and communicating on our fleet performance.
This is a highly cross-functional role in a rapidly-scaling company function, and there is an enormous opportunity to influence how this work is done now and into the future. The breadth of this role is perfect for an engineer who wants to use their advanced analytical and technical skills in a fast-paced and challenging environment. We are looking for an ambitious and curious individual excited to work at the interface of operations, systems engineering, and analytics. In order to support our 24/7/365 operations, we are looking for those who are able to work a shifted weekly schedule from Sunday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
•
Manage daily operations of Mainspring Energy’s growing Linear Generator fleet, including remote operation, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
•
Contribute to a cross-functional team that designs, implements, and uses a real-time monitoring and communication platform
•
Provide high-quality analytics on fleet availability, performance, and connectivity to Service, Engineering, and Sales teams
•
Report on NERC compliance metrics and ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements
•
Identify and communicate major opportunities for performance and reliability improvements
•
Track and document operational issues along with their root causes and resolutions
•
Generate accurate, detailed data reports for customers and regulatory agencies
•
Improve automation and reporting workflows by developing and deploying internal tools
•
Coordinate with the Operations & Maintenance team to plan and execute scheduled and reactive service events
•
Collaborate across functions, gaining exposure to quality assurance, reliability engineering, product validation, test engineering, and software development
•
Support team growth by helping to identify, onboard, and train new team members in a rapidly scaling organization
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
