Forward Deployed Engineer (AI & Infrastructure) (VT26-FDE) (Hong Kong) (Full Time)
Company: Votee AI
Location: Hong Kong (On‑site / Client‑facing)
Job Type: Full‑Time
About Votee AI
At Votee AI, we are pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence. We build and deploy state‑of‑the‑art AI systems to solve some of the most complex problems for highly regulated, mission‑critical organizations. We are looking for an elite Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the on‑site implementation of our systems for top‑tier clients across the public sector, statutory regulatory bodies, and critical public infrastructure.
The Role As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be the technical tip of the spear. You will operate directly on‑site within highly secure, air‑gapped, or strictly regulated environments to install, configure, and scale Votee AI’s platforms.
You won't just be maintaining legacy systems—you will be leveraging the absolute latest in AI engineering paradigms. You will utilize vibe coding and orchestrate agent swarms to automate deployments, rapidly iterate on‑site, and solve infrastructure challenges in real‑time.
Note: Due to the 24/7, mission‑critical nature of our clients' operations, some system deployments must frequently be executed during highly restricted overnight maintenance windows. High flexibility in working hours is a strict requirement for this role.
Responsibilities • On‑Site Implementation: Lead the end‑to‑end installation, integration, and testing of Votee AI systems directly at secure client sites (public sector, regulatory, and critical infrastructure environments).
- Hardware Optimization: Deploy, serve, and scale LLMs and other complex AI models locally or in private clouds. Provision and optimize hardware accelerators (GPUs, TPUs, NPUs) to ensure maximum inference speed and resource efficiency.
- Mission‑Critical Deployments: Execute precise system deployments during strict, non‑standard maintenance windows with zero margin for operational disruption.
- Modern Infrastructure: Architect, containerize, and deploy complex applications using Docker, Harbor , and Kubernetes .
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the provisioning of both cloud and on‑premise environments using Terraform, Pulumi , and AWS CloudFormation .
- AI‑Driven Engineering: Pioneer the use of modern AI engineering techniques on‑site. Leverage vibe coding to rapidly prototype and adapt scripts, and utilize agent swarms to orchestrate system implementations, auto‑remediation, and environment monitoring.
- Security &
- Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure meets the strict compliance, data privacy, and security standards required by Hong Kong’s regulatory and statutory bodies.
Requirements • Technical Foundation: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or Forward Deployed Engineer.
- LLM Infrastructure: Hands‑on experience serving and orchestrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI models (e.g., using frameworks such as vLLM, Ollama, TensorRT, Triton Inference Server, or Hugging Face toolchains).
- Hardware Acceleration: Deep practical experience provisioning, configuring, and optimizing AI workloads on specialized compute hardware, including GPUs (NVIDIA/CUDA), TPUs, and NPUs .
- Containerization &
- Orchestration: Deep, hands‑on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), and private container registries (e.g., Harbor).
- IaC Mastery: Strong capability in writing declarative infrastructure using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- AI Adaptability: Strong interest or experience in leveraging AI tools to write code (\"vibe coding\") and familiarity with multi‑agent system frameworks (Agent Swarms).
- Logistical Flexibility: High willingness to accommodate irregular working hours, including overnight deployment schedules, to meet strict client operational requirements.
- Communication: Excellent client‑facing communication skills. Fluent in Cantonese and English (Mandarin is a plus). Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice‑to‑Haves • Previous experience deploying software for Hong Kong government departments, statutory bodies, or highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Experience with bare‑metal provisioning and air‑gapped network deployments.
- Relevant security clearances or a background that allows for rapid security vetting in Hong Kong.
