The Amazon B2B Payments & Lending team provides invoicing, working capital and payment acceptance solutions to Amazon Business customers, sellers and other small business customers across Amazon.

B2B Payments and Lending is looking for a smart, motivated, and analytical Fraud Risk Analyst to join our Credit and Fraud Management team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of fraud related systems and hands‑on fraud investigation and analysis experience. This role involves high‑judgement decision making, use of fraud‑risk analytics, and ability to analyze data patterns. The role will support fraud operations for international expansions and reports to the NA Credit Operations Manager based in Seattle, WA.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep‑dive investigations to derive business problems and define use cases in an ambiguous environment.
• Use data to make high‑judgement decisions and take direct actions to stop bad actors on worldwide stores as early as possible.
• Share risk insights with partner teams to constantly improve detection mechanisms.
• Manage risk mitigation projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency.
• Identify gaps and risks in current mechanisms and policies and recommend solutions to product/policy owning teams.
• Effectively prioritize opportunities and communicate with stakeholders/dependency teams to influence roadmaps.

About the Team

The team is responsible for making decisions on Amazon Business (AB) customers’ eligibility for the Pay By Invoice (PBI) payment product at initial assessment, proactively and by request, while balancing spend opportunities and mitigating credit/write‑off risk and fraud risk. Our mission is to drive the Amazon flywheel by enabling credit on PBI for all eligible customers registering on AB with best‑in‑class risk management.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 4+ years of fraud/risk investigations experience
• Working knowledge of SQL and Python, and experience in processing complex datasets from multiple sources
• Clear examples of demonstrated judgment and strategic insight
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to recognize non‑obvious patterns
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
• MBA, CFA or Master's Degree in relevant fields
• Experience managing credit risk program for an unsecured lending portfolio
