Full-stack AI Engineer

Join Cookiy AI, an innovative company developing an AI-native qualitative research platform. We are creating a unique product that conducts voice-based AI interviews at scale, transforming conversations into structured research insights for teams in product development, growth, and healthcare/life sciences. We are expanding our small, highly-committed remote team and are looking for Mandarin-speaking professionals who are based outside Mainland China.

Location: Global remote, physically outside Mainland China

Language: Mandarin working proficiency required; English reading/writing required

Engagement: Contractor initially, with potential for long-term/full-time opportunities

Time overlap: At least 4 hours overlap with Singapore Time or Pacific Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop complete product workflows, encompassing frontend, backend, AI orchestration, data pipelines, integrations, reliability, and internal tools.
• Deliver AI voice interview features and research-analysis capabilities with strong product judgment, moving beyond just implementing API wrappers.
• Take ownership of features from initial problem statement through to production release, including instrumentation and iterations.
• Collaborate with design and growth teams to quickly translate customer feedback into product improvements.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in production using TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js or Python, Postgres, API design, and cloud deployment.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows, evaluations, prompt/version management, and observability.
• Comfortable working in a small, remote team with a high level of ownership and little bureaucratic overhead.
• Fluent in Mandarin for daily internal collaboration and proficient in English for reading technical documents and understanding customer contexts.
