Full-stack AI Engineer | Global Remote | Mandarin-speaking | Outside Mainland China

Cookiy AI is building an AI-native qualitative research platform. Our product conducts voice-based AI interviews at scale and turns conversations into structured research insights for product, growth, and healthcare/life-science teams. We are rebuilding a small, high-ownership remote team and are looking for Mandarin-speaking teammates who are physically based outside Mainland China.

Location: Global remote, physically outside Mainland China

Language: Mandarin working proficiency required; English reading/writing required

Engagement: Contractor first, with potential to become long-term/full-time

Time overlap: At least 4 hours overlap with Singapore Time or Pacific Time

What you will do

· Build product workflows end to end: frontend, backend, AI orchestration, data pipelines, integrations, reliability, and internal tools.

· Ship AI voice interview and research-analysis features with strong product judgment, not just API wrappers.

· Own features from ambiguous problem statement to production release, including instrumentation and iteration.

· Work with design and growth to turn customer feedback into fast product improvements.

Who we are looking for

· Strong production experience with TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node.js or Python, Postgres, API design, and cloud deployment.

· Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, RAG/agent workflows, evals, prompt/version management, and observability.

· Comfortable working in a small remote team with high ownership and limited process overhead.

· Mandarin is strong enough for daily internal collaboration; English is strong enough for technical docs and customer context.
