Full Stack Engineer - Leading investment bank

Our client is a premier global investment bank seeking a high-calibre Full Stack Engineer (12-Month Contract) to join their APAC Technology division. This team is responsible for the engineering and evolution of the firm’s most critical financial platforms, ensuring seamless digital experiences within a high-stakes, regulated environment.

Working within the Regional Delivery Hub, this individual will bridge the gap between complex backend architecture and sophisticated user interfaces. You will be tasked with building high- concurrency applications that meet the "gold standard" of performance, security, and scalability expected of a leading global financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the re-architecting of core wealth management components, focusing on high availability, resiliency, and enterprise-scale scalability.
• Design and develop high-quality technology solutions utilizing Java, JavaScript, and React, ensuring adherence to the firm’s rigorous Project Life Cycle (PLC) excellence.
• Liaise with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate complex financial requirements into robust technical specifications.
• Implement Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven architectures, and high-performance RESTful services to support real-time financial data processing.
• Foster an inclusive, Agile environment, prioritizing work under pressure with minimal supervision while maintaining a "can-do" approach to complex problem-solving.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record in Java, JavaScript, and React.js.
• Strong command of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Data Structures, and Algorithms, with a focus on building secure and maintainable code.
• Deep understanding of message-driven architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within a regulated environment.
• Technical proficiency in RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and comfort operating within Linux environments using scripting (Bash/PowerShell).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence demanding stakeholders and global project teams.
