INFUSION NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT NEUROLOGY INFUSION CENTER

Salt Lake City, UT | Full Time | No Weekends | No Nights

If you’re an infusion nurse who’s burned out on hospital pace, rotating schedules, or high patient ratios, this role is intentionally different.

We are seeking an RN to join our outpatient neurology infusion center in Salt Lake where the focus is on thoughtful patient care, manageable patient volume, and a predictable weekday schedule. This is a structured, low-volume clinical environment designed to support both patients and nurses.

WHY NURSES ARE INTERESTED IN THIS ROLE

  • No weekends
  • Consistent 4-day schedule
  • Outpatient-only setting
  • Low patient volume with manageable workflow
  • Typically care for 2–3 patients at a time
  • Calm, team-oriented clinical environment
  • Opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships

CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT

This is not a high-throughput infusion center. The clinic is intentionally structured for safe staffing and sustainable workloads.

  • Approximately 7–9 infusion patients per day across the clinic
  • Specialty neurology infusion therapies
  • Infusion appointments ranging from approximately 1–5 hours

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Start IVs and administer specialty infusion therapies
  • Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to infusion reactions
  • Manage care across 2–3 infusion chairs simultaneously
  • Provide patient education and support throughout treatment
  • Collaborate closely with providers, clinical staff, and infusion leadership
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and infusion safety protocols
  • Help support efficient, patient-centered infusion workflows as the program grows

TRAINING & SUPPORT

Even experienced infusion nurses receive structured onboarding and support.

Training includes:

  • 3 days of virtual infusion training
  • 7 days of in-clinic shadowing with experienced infusion staff
  • Gradual transition into independent patient care responsibilities
  • Clinical support from experienced infusion nurses and leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active, unrestricted RN license
  • Strong IV skills required
  • Prior infusion, oncology, ED, ICU, or high-IV-volume experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently within a collaborative outpatient team
  • Strong patient communication and clinical judgment skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Competitive compensation
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(k) with up to 4% employer match
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • Predictable weekday schedule with no weekends or call

This opportunity is ideal for an RN seeking a more sustainable clinical environment while continuing to utilize and strengthen infusion and IV skills in a specialized outpatient setting.
