Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite Local Candidates Only)

Employment Type: Full-Time (FTE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines, working with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and supporting data-driven initiatives. This is a mid-level role requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale data processing
• Work with structured and unstructured data across multiple sources
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance of data systems
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in data engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer (Airflow)
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline design
• Familiarity with Apache Beam / Spark (preferred)
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Ability to work in an onsite, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in consulting or client-facing roles
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Exposure to data modeling and performance tuning
• Google Cloud Platform certifications (nice to have)
