Quant Researcher – NYC

Are you ready to apply your research skills at the frontier of global markets?

A leading electronic market maker operating across 36 countries is seeking PhD level Quant Researchers to join their teams in New York City. You will work in a collegiate environment alongside traders, engineers, and fellow researchers, contributing across predictive modelling, strategy research, risk frameworks, and internal tooling, with broad exposure across the firm's global operations.

What You'll Work On:

  • Building predictive models using statistical and machine learning methods
  • Researching and implementing new trading strategies from idea to production
  • Analysing existing strategies to identify improvements
  • Developing risk models and portfolio management frameworks
  • Building automation and visualisation tools to accelerate research

What We're Looking For:

  • PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Prior industry internship experience in a quantitative or trading environment
  • Strong Python and C/C++ programming skills; comfort with pandas and data manipulation
  • Fluency with core data structures, dictionaries, deques, heaps and algorithmic efficiency
  • Strong problem solving ability under pressure and with ambiguity
  • Clear communicator across both technical and non-technical audiences
