Role Summary
An expanding, investor-backed healthcare organization is looking for a data and analytics leader to establish and scale its enterprise data capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to architect the data ecosystem from inception while supporting a business undergoing rapid expansion and acquisition activity.
The individual in this role will take full ownership of data strategy, infrastructure, governance, and analytics, enabling leadership to make informed decisions across operational, financial, and clinical areas. As the organization evolves, this position is expected to broaden in scope to include oversight of technology functions.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Leadership
- Develop and implement a long-term vision for data and analytics aligned with organizational priorities
- Create and enforce policies that ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and accessibility
- Act as the primary decision-maker for all data-related initiatives across the company
- Work closely with finance leadership to support planning, reporting, and performance analysis
- Oversee selection and management of external data vendors and partners
Analytics & Reporting
- Build and deliver reporting tools that provide clear insights to executives and stakeholders
- Convert complex datasets into meaningful recommendations that drive business outcomes
- Establish consistent performance metrics across different operating segments
- Produce materials that support leadership discussions, investor updates, and strategic reviews
- Maintain dependable and scalable reporting systems with appropriate controls
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Design and oversee a centralized data environment that integrates multiple systems
- Develop efficient data pipelines to streamline data flow and reduce manual effort
- Create standardized structures that enable consistent analysis and reporting
- Ensure alignment between operational data and financial outputs through reconciliation processes
- Lead the data onboarding process for newly acquired entities
Team Development & Oversight
- Hire and manage a distributed team of data professionals, including offshore contributors
- Define processes for prioritization, execution, and quality assurance of deliverables
- Expand team capabilities to meet increasing business demands
Candidate Profile
Required Experience
- Minimum of 8 years working in data, analytics, or a related discipline, including leadership experience
- Knowledge or Databricks, Snowflake and Power BI
- Demonstrated success in building or transforming data functions within an organization
- Background in healthcare or other regulated industries
- Strong technical skills in SQL, business intelligence platforms, and cloud-based data solutions
- Experience supporting financial analysis and executive-level reporting
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-changing, high-growth environments
- Excellent communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders
Preferred Background
- Prior experience in investor-backed or high-growth environments
- Exposure to organizations with multiple business lines or operating units
- Involvement in acquisition-related data integration efforts
- Familiarity with strategies that leverage data as a revenue-generating asset
- Understanding of healthcare data workflows, financial operations, or clinical systems
