This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role focused on designing and deploying systems that operate in demanding real-world environments. You will work on structural platforms, energy systems, and automated handling infrastructure — from concept to production.
What You’ll Do
- Design mechanical systems including structural assemblies, battery enclosures, docking systems, and handling mechanisms
- Translate evolving requirements into robust, production-ready designs
- Perform advanced simulations (FEA, fatigue, vibration, thermal analysis)
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, tolerances, and fabrication specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (battery, manufacturing, vehicle systems)
- Lead failure analysis and iterate designs based on real-world performance data
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, durability, and efficiency
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical design (automotive, aerospace, robotics, or industrial systems)
- Strong expertise in: • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Structural and thermal analysis
- Parametric CAD (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, etc.)
- Ability to design under complex and evolving constraints
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
Nice to Have
- Experience with electric vehicles or energy systems
- Knowledge of vibration, sealing systems, or structural dynamics
- Experience in manufacturing environments
Compensation
- KES 70,000 – 150,000/month (negotiable)
Why This Role
- Work on real-world engineering challenges
- Build systems from concept to deployment
- High ownership and fast-paced environment
- Opportunity to grow in advanced mechanical systems
