You will be joining a well‑established Asia‑Pacific licensed bank with a strong presence across regional and international markets, known for prudent risk management and a diversified global markets platform.

Your new role

As Head of Market Risk, Global Markets focused, you will lead the market risk function covering trading and treasury activities, overseeing risk measurement, limit frameworks, stress testing, valuation control, and regulatory compliance. You will act as a strategic partner to Global Markets, providing independent risk oversight while supporting sustainable business growth across rates, FX, credit, and structured products.

• Lead the market risk function for Global Markets, covering trading books across rates, FX, credit, equities, and structured products

• Own market risk frameworks including VaR, stress testing, sensitivity analysis, and limit governance

• Provide independent risk oversight on valuation, model assumptions, and complex product structures

• Chair and contribute to risk committees, escalating key risk issues to senior management

• Partner closely with front office, treasury, finance, and regulatory teams to support business strategy while maintaining strong risk discipline

What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive experience in market risk management within a banking environment, with coverage of global markets products

• Proven leadership experience managing senior risk professionals and engaging at governance and committee level

• Strong knowledge of market risk frameworks, stress testing, valuation methodologies, and regulatory standards

• University degree in quantitative discipline; advanced certifications (e.g. FRM) highly preferred
