Health Insurance Claims Data Engineer: Excel and Python Pandas Jupyter

Newly Created role with an expanding U.S. Based Data focused firm.

New and Interesting Projects, Small team environment, hands-on-technical Management (this role is opening due to an internal promotion)

Data Analytics, Reporting, Modeling Forecasting surrounding health insurance and medical claims data. This role involves routine and ad hoc analytics, data mining, and reporting to support cross-departmental projects and initiatives. Work to employ advanced analytical techniques to generate actionable insights and reliable predictive models.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Solid Non-Cloud Based Jupyter and Pandas Experience (within the Python Framework): should be well versed in .ipynb/Notebook, Jupyter Kernel for Python, Jupyter Dashboard and using Jupyter for Data Cleaning/Transformation, EDA (data analysis), Data Modeling and related Visualizations, Model Training.
• Experience with MS Excel is strongly preferred (pivot tables, formulas, macros, VLOOKUP's).
• Experience with Health Insurance Claims Type Data should be able to
• Develop and maintain data models focused on health insurance claims dataset
• Create statistical reports and predictive analytics to support decision-making
• Perform comprehensive data cleaning, preparation, and validation
• Design and deliver clear data visualizations and presentations for stakeholders
• Validate analytic models and document methodologies and findings
• Scope and frame data problems to identify data sourcing and mining strategies
• Experience or willingness to work with Flat Files, CSV Files and other types of Non-Relational Database type data and using Python's Jupyter as a primary data tooling / data access interface

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in health-medical insurance claims data analytics
• Master’s degree preferred
