Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Data Engineer with 12+ years of experience in building and managing scalable data solutions. This role focuses on designing and maintaining data pipelines, developing backend APIs, and leveraging AWS cloud services to support data-driven applications within the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and AWS technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and processing
- Develop backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js with comprehensive unit testing
- Utilize AWS Lambda to build and manage serverless, event-driven workflows
- Implement and manage NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and Data Science to deliver scalable data solutions
- Optimize data processing and storage for performance, scalability, and reliability
- (Optional) Design and deploy containerized applications using AWS EKS
- (Optional) Provision and manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, API Gateway, SQS, SES, and Pinpoint
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience designing and building data pipelines and data processing systems
- Experience working with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch
- Experience developing backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices
- Experience working in the healthcare domain

- Experience with containerization and orchestration using AWS EKS
- Experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure services
