Job Summary & Purpose:
Fund Investment Due Diligence
Contribute to and maintain investment due diligence on Statistical Arbitrage and Quantitative Equity Market Neutral hedge funds, globally. A successful candidate will build a comprehensive knowledge of assigned funds and strategy landscape, including tertiary research on relevant topics of client interest.
Produce clear & concise investment due diligence reports and recommendations to clients. Meetings and due diligence may involve site visits, analysis of documentation and performance reviews, together with telephonic or personal reference checks. Company “best practices” in respect to Hedge Fund investment due diligence should be followed.
Coordinate with others within the firm covering related strategies (including in other silos and functions) to share information and to improve the quality of Albourne’s hedge fund research, including other reports and recommendations.
Utilizing Open Protocol data and other data provided by fund managers, conduct ongoing monitoring of fund exposures.
Build a working knowledge of funds outside core coverage; on occasion, writing research on said funds, if considered appropriate.
Strategy Analysis and Communication
Aid in the production of strategy forecasting for Fixed Income Relative Value hedge funds.
Help with production and maintenance of research outlining the key attributes, trends and drivers of a given strategy, or discussing relevant market developments. Facilitate and conduct interviews with fund managers and/or other industry professionals.
Identification of any additional tools or analytics which will enhance the accuracy of ratings and fund selection or communicate Albourne’s opinions more clearly.
Lead client calls/meetings to aid with clear communication to clients of Albourne’s opinions on the given strategy or fund(s) as well as meet any follow-up or related client requests.
