We are looking for an experienced Home Automation Technician / KNX Programmer to handle the installation, programming, and commissioning of advanced smart home systems. The role involves working on high-end residential and villa projects, integrating lighting, access control, gates, HVAC (AC), pumps, garden lighting, and other automation systems maintenance into a seamless solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and wire home automation systems including controllers, sensors, actuators, and panels
- Program and configure existing and new systems using KNX (ETS) and/or other platforms (Control4, Crestron, Lutron)
- Develop automation logic for:
- Lighting scenes and dimming systems
- HVAC (AC) control and scheduling
- Pump control (water tanks, irrigation systems)
- Outdoor and garden lighting automation
- Access control, door and gate automation
- Integrate multiple systems including lighting, HVAC, and security into a unified platform
- Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of installed systems
- Provide maintenance, upgrades, and technical support
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and automation schematics
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3–7 years of experience in home automation or smart home systems (UAE/GCC experience must)
- Strong hands-on experience with KNX systems (Software and Hardware)
- Experience with Control4, Crestron, or Lutron
- Knowledge of Access control, BMS, PLC, VFD, HVAC integration, lighting control systems (DALI/DMX), and low-voltage systems
- Skilled networking knowledge (IP systems, routers, IoT devices)
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve system integration issues independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- KNX Certification (highly preferred)
- Experience working on luxury villas or high-end residential projects
- Familiarity with BMS and multi-system integration
