🚀 High Performance Compute (HPC) Storage Engineer

We’re partnering with a leading quantitative trading firm seeking an experienced HPC Storage Engineer to join a world-class research and development environment. This role sits at the heart of a globally distributed infrastructure supporting cutting-edge AI/ML-driven trading strategies and managing hundreds of petabytes of data.
You’ll be part of a highly collaborative team responsible for designing, building, and evolving large-scale storage platforms that power some of the most advanced compute environments in the industry. The position offers the opportunity to influence future storage architecture while working with the latest technologies in high-performance computing.
🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, deploy, and manage large-scale storage solutions in HPC environments
- Troubleshoot complex storage, Linux OS, and networking issues
- Develop tools to enhance performance, automation, and monitoring of storage clusters
- Research and evaluate emerging storage technologies
- Contribute to the architecture of highly available and scalable NAS solutions
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Experience with distributed file systems such as Lustre, CephFS, or GPFS
- Background in HPC or large-scale environments, supporting 1PB+ storage deployments
- Hands-on expertise with scale-out enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Isilon, VAST, NetApp, Pure)
- Strong Linux troubleshooting skills, including NFS, ZFS, and other Linux filesystems
- Proficiency in Python and shell scripting for automation
- Ability to design highly available and redundant NAS solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong desire to learn
