We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Manager (Contractor) to join the CIB Data & Analytics (CIBDA) team, supporting the Strategy and Operational Alignment workstream. This role focuses on communications related to data strategy, uplifting and embedding the CIB D&A operating model across countries in Asia and Middle East—helping local data teams align to the global strategy, adopt strategic data assets and analytics tools, and clearly articulate how analytics enables CIB business outcomes.

Preferred Experience/skillset: Project management/ BA experience in analytics/ op model/ strategy space (5-10 years relevant experience)

Role Description:

Role title: Business analytics manager

Role duration: 7 months (Mat Cover)

Max salary to the candidate: 100K - 115K (Based on exp)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Operating Model Uplift
  • Support delivery of strategic initiatives across CIB D&A, with a focus on operating model alignment and uplift.
  • Assess and support country data teams to operate in line with the global D&A strategy (ways of working, adoption expectations, engagement model).
  • Help identify gaps, risks, and dependencies impacting adoption of the strategic operating model, and drive actions to address them.
  • Adoption of Strategic Data Assets and Analytics Tools
  • Support CIB D&A Tooling Lead to promote and enable usage of strategic data assets and strategic analytics tools across country teams.
  • Showcase existing analytics capabilities (platforms, products, reusable assets, accelerators) that countries can leverage to deliver business value faster.
  • Partner with relevant platform/product owners in GDT to connect country needs with available capabilities and support adoption plans.
  • Stakeholder Management and Project Management
  • Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across CIB D&A and country teams.
  • Facilitate alignment across global and local stakeholders, ensuring consistent messaging and shared understanding of strategy and operating model expectations.
  • Support on project management and governance activities (where applicable) by preparing updates, tracking actions, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Communications and Executive Materials
  • Support communications related to strategy, operating model, and adoption progress, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Contribute to and/or develop country strategy presentations and management decks, demonstrating how data and analytics supports CIB business priorities.
  • Translate complex D&A concepts into clear, business-relevant narratives for senior audiences.

Requirements

  • Communication & Presentation: Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident producing and delivering senior-level presentations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Comfortable engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across geographies and functions.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and drive outcomes at pace.
  • Data & Analytics Understanding: Solid understanding of data and analytics concepts, including strategic data assets and analytics tooling (hands-on technical skills not required, but beneficial).
  • Transformation / Strategy Experience (Preferred): Experience in transformation, operating model uplift, strategy, or business change roles—ideally within financial services or a complex global organisation.
  • Location: Based in Hong Kong
