HVAC Controls Engineer

R.P. O’Connell, Inc. is looking for an HVAC DDC Controls Engineer at the intermediate or senior level for our growing Building Automation Controls Division.

Responsibilities will include:

• Create ATC submittals including, flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics, as defined by the contract documents.
• Develop and test software programs, to ensure proper operations of the building control system, per the intent of the project requirements.
• Select, orders, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects.
• Assists in commissioning of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
• Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system.

Qualifications:

Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Visio

Experience with Tridium/Niagara

Delta Controls experience a plus

Minimum of five years of experience, or an associate degree in a related technical field with five years of relevant work experience required.

Knowledge of the HVAC industry, control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
