Position Overview
The I&C Designer III is responsible for producing high-quality instrumentation and control system designs in support of plant and industrial projects. This role provides engineering design services, field support, and project coordination while leading assignments with appropriate oversight.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in instrumentation systems, P&ID development, DCS wiring, and field-based design validation.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting
- Produce detailed design drawings using CAD or integrated design tools
- Prepare layouts and conceptual designs for instrumentation systems
- Develop installation details and instrumentation layouts
- Prepare and review design calculations
Instrumentation & Controls Engineering
- Develop instrument datasheets
Field Support & Site Activities
- Conduct site walkdowns at construction sites
- Provide engineering field support during installation and commissioning
- Validate design accuracy and constructability in field environments
- Travel as required depending on project needs
Project Leadership & Coordination
- Provide schedule and staffing input for assigned projects
- Lead projects with appropriate oversight
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams

Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of related experience in instrumentation and controls design
- Experience with CAD platforms or integrated design tools
- Instrument services and field support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel as project requirements dictate
