Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Scientist to support payments and AML‑related use cases. The role is focused on applied data science and hands‑on problem solving, with strong programming requirements. This is not a data engineering role.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply data science techniques on payments and transactional datasets
- Build analytical scripts and models to identify patterns, anomalies, and risk indicators
- Perform data preparation, cleansing, and exploratory analysis using Python
- Translate business, risk, and audit problem statements into clear data‑driven insights
- Work closely with stakeholders across payments, risk, and compliance functions
Required Skills & Experience
- Up to 4-7 years of professional experience in data science roles
- Strong hands‑on Python and programming skills (mandatory)
- Strong hands-on SQL skills (mandatory)
- Solid Production experience with Big Data
- Solid foundation in applied data science techniques and statistical analysis
- Experience working with structured / transactional datasets
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to payments, AML, fintech, audit, or risk domains
Eligibility & Compliance
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident only
- Must be able to clear client security and background screening
- Immediate availability (next 2-3 weeks)
- Needs to clear client interview and work out of client office
