Implementation Engineer

Prime Robotics
Lakewood, US
On-site

Job Description

We're not just building robots—we're revolutionizing warehouse automation. At Prime Robotics, we believe in empowering businesses to thrive in a world of ever-increasing demands. We're driven by the vision of warehouses where human potential is maximized, efficiency is the norm, and growth knows no bounds.

Our mission is to revolutionize warehouse operations through innovative automation solutions, enabling businesses to overcome challenges and achieve unprecedented growth. We provide end-to-end automation systems that transform traditional warehouses into beacons of efficiency and productivity.

As one of the fastest-growing players in the robotics space, we need exceptional talent to fuel our expansion. This isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to help liberate warehouse operators from the constraints of traditional operations, enabling them to meet tomorrow's challenges with confidence and agility.

The Opportunity

Prime Robotics is on a mission to revolutionize warehouse operations through intelligent, end-to-end automation — AMRs, AS/RS systems, robotic pick stations, and the software that ties it all together. As we deploy and scale solutions for warehouses, distribution centers, and e-commerce operations across North America, we need an Implementation Engineer who thrives at the intersection of robotics, customer success, and hands-on problem solving. If you love robots, love figuring out how things work, and love making customers wildly successful, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Lead on-site deployment and go-live support for Prime's robotic automation systems, serving as the primary technical point of contact for customers during and after implementation
  • Support sales teams with on-site demos and technical presentations to prospective customers
  • Monitor Prime robot fleet performance at customer sites, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues across Prime's robot portfolio — electronics, motors, cabling, and electromechanical systems — keeping fleet uptime at its peak
  • Diagnose and resolve software issues affecting robotic systems, including Prime's PES platform, Robot Control System, and WMS integrations
  • Administer Linux (Ubuntu) environments, write bash shell scripts, and query databases using SQL/MySQL to support system diagnostics and reporting
  • Perform robot inspections and preventative maintenance and maintain accurate spare parts inventory
  • Document all repairs, configurations, and field fixes thoroughly to support continuous improvement
  • Generate operational reports and performance data to track fleet health and customer outcomes
  • Relay customer feedback, product performance observations, and improvement opportunities to Prime's internal engineering and product teams
  • Collaborate flexibly with colleagues across time zones as needed
  • Maintain and repair electronic components, including soldering when required

Requirements

  • A genuine love for robots and automation — curiosity about how things work
  • Experience in a field service, implementation, or systems support role involving mechanical, electrical, or software systems (or a combination)
  • Hands-on comfort with electromechanical systems in a shop or warehouse environment
  • Linux proficiency (Ubuntu), including bash scripting; SQL/MySQL experience for database queries and diagnostics
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) software and basic networking concepts
  • Experience maintaining lithium battery systems a plus
  • Soldering skills and comfort working with electronic components
  • Strong customer service instincts — you can stay calm, communicate clearly, and build trust even when things get complicated
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; able to juggle multiple customer situations simultaneously
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently in fast-paced warehouse environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable working in active warehouse and shop environments
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites regionally, with periodic broader travel
